Alkaline is a passion project by Julie Gratz, which was started purely as an excuse to get a bunch of talented friends together. It quickly became much more personal, solely incorporating footage from two of her favorite places; Brooklyn and Martha's Vineyard. Over the 2.5 years it took to complete, the idea evolved and eventually settled on this organic style of animation that transports us between worlds.
